What Type of Professional SEO Service Do You Need?
Before you contact an SEO company and request SEO services, you need to find out what type of service you need. If you fail to do your homework, you’ll end up paying for SEO services that you don’t need which can cost thousands. SEO services tend to cost more if you have an HTML website. HTML websites are complicated so they take longer to change when compared to WordPress websites. If you have an HTML website, you might consider transferring your files over to WordPress. WordPress websites are easy to update, and they also come with blogs which are good for SEO.
Does Your SEO Service Provider Offer Backlinks?
After you finish your on-page SEO, you’ll need to create backlinks to your website. Even if your website is optimized perfectly, you still won’t rank without a steady source of backlinks to your website. There’s a lot of rumors about which type of backlinks Google doesn’t like, and/or what type of backlinks will get your website banned. I wouldn’t get too caught up in that.
You should have backlinks from multiple sources so it looks natural to Google. If you have only one type of backlink, then your backlinks will look unatural. The safest type of backlinks are from profile accounts and from social media based on my experience. Profile accounts refer to websites like Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, or any other website that you can set up a personal profile account. Usually these profile accounts will ask you for your name, bio, and your website if you have one. Profile accounts are usually on popular authority domains which is what you want.
Social media and bookmarking websites like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Stumbleupon and Delicious are used by people to share information that they like. If get people to share your content on these websites, it’ll look natural to search engines because social media sites are used to share information.
Some people argue that social media sites wont help you rank within search engines, but I’ve been using them for years to rank blog posts and videos really fast. As long as you have more backlinks from reputable sites versus spam sites, you’ll be fine. Low quality backlinks are still fine because you’ll have a nice mix, but you’ll want to focus your efforts on popular websites that are trusted by the search engines.
