If you’re interested in history or aviation, don’t miss the Palm Springs Air Museum dedicated to the airplanes and air war of World War II. Two huge hangers include informative displays from both the Pacific and European theaters of war, with over 25 flyable WWII aircraft, including a B-17 bomber open for interior touring. The knowledgeable volunteers are veterans who share their incredible memories and enthusiasm about the aircraft and experiences. Our visit coincided with a live flying demonstration and fly-past of a WWII Spitfire plane. I hope your visit will be as memorable.
Near the city, Coachella is famous for its prestigious Music and Art Festival, which has been held for over twenty years in the Empire Polo Club.
