One way to avoid losing traffic is to set the outbound links to open in a new window.
Internal Links: These are the links which link one page of a website to another page within the same site. These are usually used in blog articles where a link is passed within the post to related content on a different page. Site navigation also uses this method. These links aid the search engines in indexing your pages which is a huge boost to your SEO.
